2. hogwartsxhero@aim.com :
3. MSN hogwartsxhero@aim.com:
4. Jack Sparrow:
5. Your character's allegiance: Himself:
6. Your character's motivation for joining the crew: Postpone the judgment, as always
7. Reply to the following prompt. Please answer in third person:

Death? Pardon, but there's no death for Captain Jack Sparrow. If he's found his way to this ship, it's under his own power-only god knows how-and while he's still breathin at that. It's happened before. Be that as it may, perhaps he's come to attempt to snatch up the immortality that slipped so easily through his fingers last go round. Or perhaps he's here to keep an eye on a certain young man prone to many... many bouts of stupidity.

Poor unfortunate soul that he is.

Whatever the reason, he's aboard now, and the rest of the crew has to deal with him. A grin pulling at lips, hands wide to his sides in a gesture of innocence. "I'm here because I choose to be. Not because I have to be. And as such, the choice you've presented is a decision I am not forced to make simply because its beyond my president, given my... present predicament." A lifted eyebrow and single finger follow. "In short, no." And that's that. No clarification, no further explanation. A simple NO.

And as everyone knows, things are hardly EVER simple with Jack Sparrow.

2. Your e-mail address: (mandatory, will not be shared without permission) governor_swann_of_port_royal@yahoo.com
3. Your IM/MSN/Yahoo ID (not mandatory, but strongly preferred that you provide one): AIM: Dear Gov Swann
4. Your character's name: Governor Weatherby Swann.
5. Your character's allegiance: pirate, member of the Royal Navy/EitC, served aboard the Dutchman under Davy Jones: Mostly his daughter Elizabeth, and the King of England. And his wig.
6. Your character's motivation for joining the crew: (i.e. revenge on another crew member, to kill Will, to try and take over the ship, boredom, a love of sailing...whatever) Well, he died, and.. he is quite befuddled to where exactly he must be going.
7. Reply to the following prompt. Please answer in third person:

Your character has recently died and was just rescued from the ocean. Captain Turner stands before you and offers you a deal: pass on to the afterlife, or join his crew of your own free choice. How does your character react to the situation and what do they say to William? For this prompt ONLY you character may see any one of interest that may help sway them in their decision.

Governor Swann smiled weakly when a couple of sailors helped him aboard. "Why thank you! It.. it is rather slippery, here." He gave another polite smile, and then, his eyes widened impressively. "O-oh my God. William? I...I..." He had absolutely no idea what to say. Something about the boy seemed different, from all the years he knew him, but as per usual, he honestly couldn't care less about the boy himself. "Where is my daughter? How is she? Why aren't you with her? Is.. is Admiral Norrington with her?"

Sorry for the inconvenience. But would it be possible for me (and others) to join your rp in a lurker or "read-only" capacity, so as to watch all the action? You have a great (and creative) concept going and many of your players are such talented authors to begin with (not to metion their playing a bunch of my fav characters), it looks like a lot of fun! Sadly I have not the skills nor the time to be an active participant in your rp, but would love to read all the action from the sidelines. I'll be like the small never seen and never heard gecko that appears on the wall from time to time, happily and silently watching all the goings on.
Of course it would be at your complete discretion to terminate said membership if I ever caused a disturbance (which I wont!).

1. Your name: Emma (Norrington mun)

4. Your character's name: Anamaria
5. Your character's allegiance: Pirate
6. Your character's motivation for joining the crew: Although Anamaria isn’t scared of death, she is a little worried about who she might meet when she gets there. There are some people the former slave has no wish to meet. Spending an eternity on the Dutchman seems like a much better idea. Besides, though she has no particular grudge against any members of the crew (not now Jack has got her a boat of her own), she definitely isn’t fond of any of the wigged set, and will take great delight in watching them playing against each other. She’ll probably end up helping, just for fun.

Jack Sparrow had kept her promise and got her a boat. A nice boat too. Not too big, not too small. Just right for Anamaria. He’d probably stolen – commandeered – it, but she didn’t want to think about that. All she wanted to think about was the deck beneath her feet and the wind in her hair.

She’d been a little sad to leave the Pearl, but not too sad, especially when she later learned that they’d been chased half-way across the Atlantic by that Commodore, Norrington.

Men! Pirates or Navy, it made no damn difference. They were all the bloody same.

Since she’d left the Black Pearl, she hadn’t got caught up in the trip to Singapore, or the trip to World’s End that followed. She even missed the battle against the East India Company, when she would have fought in it, too. Like most pirates, Anamaria preferred underhand tactics to battle, and running to both, but some things were worth fighting for. The sea – freedom – was worth fighting for.

Dying in the battle would have been a bit more befitting, too. Instead, she lost her life in a storm, caught and sunk before she could reach Tortuga and safety. How bloody embarrassing.

She was pulled from the sea dripping wet and furious, snatching her hat from one of the sailors who would have stolen it. She’d like to see him try.

William Turner appeared shortly after that. He had changed a great deal since she’d last seen him. He looked taller, more confident, and a little haunted. Which was fair enough, really. Being captain of the Flying Dutchman was hardly free from burdens.

“Are you afraid of death, Anamaria?” he asked, and she raised an eyebrow at him, readjusting her hat.

“’f course I’m not,” she said, “I’m a pirate.”

Pirates spent almost their whole lives at sea, and the sea was a cruel mistress. You never knew when your time would be up. You couldn’t sail if you were afraid of that time coming.

“Well, in that case,” said Will, “You have a choice. Join my crew, and serve on the Dutchman.”

“Or?” she interrupted, watching him intently with dark, unreadable eyes.

“Or pass on,” he answered.

Pass on? Huh. She wasn’t going to heaven, that was for sure, and there were some people in Hell she didn’t wish to see ever again. She’d be better taking her chances with the Dutchman.

“We have a deal, Cap’ain Turner,” she said, holding out a hand. “I just have one question.”

“Which is?”

“Have you got a firs’ mate?”

Barbossa was pulled from the ocean by some sailors, and of course, Jack The Monkey jumped right up after him, making a small screech. Jack was already undead, and it seemed like he knew where they were.

He stood slowly, looking around the ship, he noticed many EITC and Naval officers walking around, but he could tell the ship was The Flying Dutchman, even though it looked alot cleaner than the last time he had laid eyes upon it. He wondered what Mr. Turner had been up to with his time as Captain of the Flying Dutchman.

Will approached him, and asked simply, "Do you fear death?"

Jack The Monkey jumped up on his shoulders, looking at Will curiously. Barbossa only sneered at Will before replying:

"what Pirate, that has lived the life we did, doesn't?" He was hoping that he wouldn't have to come right out and say that he did.

Just then, however, he thought he saw Jack Sparrow, maybe this wouldn't be hell after all.

for James first Shall we?

James Norrington's ears are ringing. Was he just offered another chance at life? Well not at life but to sail again. His life was the sea, should his death be? He looked up at William seeing the new Captain comfortable in his position. This was different. He refused to go with Davy Jones but William would be different... William was no longer a boy in a shop was he? "I will serve Captain Turner,"

and Theodore next.

He was dead. Theodore Groves couldn't believe it, after all that he had done for Beckett and he winded up dying anyway. But now he was given a choice. By Mr. Turner by all people. That man who helped SParrow commandear the Interceptor. Should he take this oppertunity? Well Maybe he could work something out, better then being in the underworld. "You have yourself a deal Captain"

Re: i hope i'm not to late. sorry if i am
Thank you for your interest in the game.

However, it is apparent that you have not read the profile. If you had, you would have noticed that both of the characters you have applied for are taken.

If you have anyone else that you'd wish to play, please be sure to check the profile before reapplying. Ideally, we'd also like a bit longer writing sample as well.

Thank you.
